Zafrul Aziz

Tengku Dato' Zafrul Aziz is one of the judges of the corporate reality television series The Firm, where he played himself. The show premièred prime time nationwide on ntv7 and Astro's Channel 7 in Malaysia in 2007. He was previously the Group Director of K&N Kenanga Holdings Bhd and currently CEO of Maybank Investment Bank Berhad.

As one of the three millionaire judges on The Firm, the other two being Peter Pek and Chan Boon Yong, he is considered one of Malaysia's few corporate celebrities. He has appeared in advertisements featuring his picture for Tune Money. He is also one of the first Malaysian CEOs to start a blog.

Prior to K&N Kenanga Holdings Bhd, he was with CIMB for a short time before taking the role as head of the investment banking division of Citibank. He was also the former group managing director of Avenue International Capital Bhd, CEO of Avenue Securities, Chairman of Avenue Invest and CEO of Tune Money.

A graduate from Bristol University with a degree in economics and accounting in 1996, he began his career as a corporate finance executive in Am Merchant Bank. He left to join Crédit Agricole as an investment analyst and later become a director of the company. He also has a Masters in finance and investment at the University of Exeter.

His mother is Raja Datuk Zaharaton Raja Zainal Abidin, former Director-General of the Economic Planning Unit (EPU) of the Prime Minister's Department of Malaysia.
